n March 27th, 2026, Senate Resolution
665 was approved with unanimous
bipartisan consent designating April
2026 as National Native Plant Month! The
State of Tennessee o昀케cially designated April
as Tennessee Native Plant Month, emphasizing
sustainable landscaping and support for local
horticulture.

National Native Plant Month helps us to
recognize the critical role of native plants in
supporting ecosystems, providing food for
insects and birds, and boosting biodiversity.
History of Native Plant Month:
In the fall of 2022, The Garden Club of
America (GCA) embarked on a nationwide,
