n April 11, 2026, the vibrant
Nashville Cherry Blossom
Festival brought families
together to celebrate spring and
Japanese culture on the front lawn of the
Metro Courthouse at Nashville Public
Square.
Festival highlights included traditional
and modern Japanese music and dance.
Visitors enjoyed a roving “Candyman.”
There were martial arts demonstrations,
art displays, anime, and children’s
activities. Sumo-suit wrestling, a Cosplay
Contest, and the annual Pups in Pink
Parade were also scheduled. Guests
could try Japanese dishes from special
menus at Nashville’s favorite food trucks
during lunch and in the afternoon.
The Nashville Tree Foundation
partnered with State Farm and the Arbor
Day Foundation. Together, they helping
restore Nashville’s tree canopy after the
winter storm. They gave away more than
750 Cherry Blossom trees during the
festival.
The Nashville Cherry Blossom Festival
and Walk is organized by the JapanAmerica Society of Tennessee,
the Consulate-General of Japan
in Nashville, and the Metropolitan
Government of Nashville and Davidson
County.
