Friday, May 29
The event opens with a Spring Soiree Friday night, May 29, at the
home of Nashville artist Susie Campion and her husband Tom in
the historic Belmont-Hillsboro neighborhood. Come meet and get
to know our featured speaker, connect with others who support
Belmont Mansion and who pursue gardening in all its forms.
Above all, enjoy a beautiful spring evening at a spectacular
location in Middle Tennessee.
Saturday, May 30
Saturday, we’ll convene on Belmont University’s campus for a
lecture, optional tour of the Belmont Gardens and reception in the
Grand Salon of Belmont Mansion.
Ms. Catron will explore Georgia’s rich garden heritage from the
mid-eighteenth to the early twentieth centuries. These publicly and
privately owned gardens include nineteenth-century parterres,
Colonial Revival gardens, Country Place–era landscapes, rock
gardens, historic town squares, college campuses, and an urban
conservation garden.
